Kelly will release her fourth album All I Ever Wanted (19 Recordings / RCA Records) on March 10th, 2009.

Clarkson co-wrote 6 tracks on the record and collaborated with a wide array of all-star producers and songwriters on this project including Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Kara DioGuardi, Howard Benson, Ryan Tedder, Katy Perry and Sam Watters.

The first single off the record, “My Life Would Suck Without You” is dominated  the Billboard Hot 100 chart coming in at #1 for two weeks in a row. Earlier this month the song catapulted from the #97 position to the #1 spot on the Hot 100 chart, breaking the record held by Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” which went from #96 to #1 in a week’s time. The single’s jump also marked the largest leap to #1in the chart’s 50-year history. Kelly previously held the #1 spot on the Hot 100 in 2002 with “A Moment Like This,” which went from #52 to #1 and held that position for 2 weeks.

In her career to date, Clarkson has sold 16 million albums worldwide. She is the recipient of 2 Grammy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, 2 MTV Awards and 11 Billboard Awards.

Kelly Clarkson sings Ave Maria

Kelly Clarkson, the first “American Idol”, performed “Ave Maria” for Pope Benedict XVI and thousands of Catholics and devotees at the Saint Joseph Seminary. Kelly was quoted as saying,”I was so excited to be asked to sing for the Pope. It’s always been a dream of mine to perform Ave Maria.”

“To have that dream come true on such a special occasion is truly a blessing.”

Imagine singing in front of the Pope – I would be shitting bricks! Way to go Kelly!!!

I was looking for some information on American Idol and came across this article, it had performances till season 5. I agreed with some of their top 10 performances but I felt as if they forgot some other good performances. As I read the comments I noticed that many people agreed with some of the performances that I would have included.
