Top 10 All-Time “American Idol Performances”

I was looking for some information on American Idol and came across this article, it had performances till season 5. I agreed with some of their top 10 performances but I felt as if they forgot some other good performances. As I read the comments I noticed that many people agreed with some of the performances that I would have included. With this in mind I decided to make my top 10 list including season 6… It is hard to choose 10 performances since there were so many really awesome ones. Feel free to leave comments on what your top 10 performances would be, who knows maybe in the near future I will put up a list of what you – the readers – think are the top 10 all – time performances 
So here is my top 10:
1. Kelly Clarkson (Season 1) – Natural Woman
2. Carrie Underwood (Season 4) – Alone
3. Elliot Yamin (Season 5) – A Song For You
4. Clay Aiken (Season 2) – (tie) Bridge Over Troubled Water and Solitaire
5. Chris Daughtry (Season 5) – Walk The Line
6. Constanine Maroulis – (Season 4) – Bohemian Rhapsody
7. Jennifer Hudson (Season 3) – Circle of Life
8. Ruben Studdard (Season 2) – Superstar
9. Katherine McPhee (Season 5) – Somewhere Over The Rainbow
10. Tamyra Gray (Season 1) – A House is Not A Home

Bo Bice’s In a Dream is by far my favorite Idol performance. No one had really done the whole acappella thing before and I still get goosebumps when I watch that performance.

I agree with Heidi. I also liked Bo’s performance. He was/is an amazing singer but I really like your choices too, Tball. FAB!

I can’t help but notice that fantasia’ summertime isn’t on here….it seems to be a consensus number one among idol fans. also people always forget about latoya singing all by myself…i’m just saying you should think about those two.

Bam – thanks for bringing up those two performances! It is so hard to make a top 10, since there are so many great performances… When I make a readers Top 10 I will definitely add those two…

I could do without Blake Lewis’ performance in the top 10. No goosebumps for me on that one. I also agree that Bo Bice’s performance should be in there somewhere.

My favorite of these is Constanine Maroulis. Now that we’ve seen David Cook’s Hello, I’d put his version in the top 10. The rest of the spots I’d give to Adam’s Ring of Fire, Tracks of My Tears, Funky Music, Mad Love, and whatever he is preparing us next.
